you..."--The Holy Bible, King James Version, Numbers 32:23.

"O, my offense is rank! It smells to heaven,
It hath the primal eldest curse upon't,
A brother's murder... (from the soliloquy of murderer King Claudius
in Shakespeare's Hamlet, Act 3, Scene 3, lines 36-38)
"But O, what form of prayer
Can serve my turn? 'Forgive me my foul murder?'
That cannot be, since I am still possessed
Of those effects for which I did the murder:...(3.3.51-55)
"In the corrupted currents of this world
Offense's gilded hand may shove by justice,
And oft 'tis seen the wicked prize itself
Buys out the law. But 'tis not so above,
There is no shuffling, there the action lies
In his true nature, and we ourselves compelled,
Even to the teeth and forehead of our faults,
To give in evidence."(3.3.57-64)

Chief Judge Edward Toussaint, Jr. of the Minnesota
Court of Appeals, at oral argument
in this case: "Now, about this collision between
the tanker and the van..." [between Eggen's
Direct Service's semi-gas tanker truck coming up from behind the Waage van,
both in the left of two southbound lanes.] Chief Judge Toussaint did not finish
that sentence--he was interrupted by Attorney Roger R. Roe, Jr., the attorney
for the killed man, Clarence Waage.
Attorney Roger Roe, Jr.:
"There was no collision. They didn't collide. They
[Clarence Waage and his wife in the van]
were pushed." [From behind, by Eggen's 40-ton
semi-gas tanker truck driven by Randy Veurink of Milaca--and that tanker's
push on the Waage van caused: the van to spin clockwise; the van to slide
sideways to the right; the van to slam into a dump truck; and that slam into
the dump truck--caused by the tanker's push--killed Clarence Waage.]
